financial crises, for which university offers gift aid programs, scholarships,
loans and payment plans for people from all walks of life.
Following are Financial Aid and Scholarships offered by the University of Akron:
Grants
Grants are a form of aid based only on financial need and do not have to be repaid.
The three primary grants are the Ohio Instructional Grant, Federal Pell Grant
and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant.
Loans
Unlike other types of financial aid, loans must be repaid. Some loans are awarded
based on need and others are not. Need-based loans include Federal Perkins Loan,
Nursing Student Loan and Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan.
Akron
University Scholarship
There are hundreds of scholarships offered by University
of Akron each year. University offers scholarships to talented student for there
better education. And award range starts from hundred dollars to complete, full-ridge
academic scholarships worth $44,000.
Other Aid
Other forms of financial assistance - such as work-study
may be available, depending on a student's particular circumstances. There are
jobs on and off campus. The U.S. government offers the On-Campus Federal College
Work-Study Program.
Installment
Payment Plan (IPP)
For a small fee and a down payment, students may pay
their tuition over the course of a semester in installments. To enroll, a student
should fill out the IPP application that is included on the fee invoice received
after registration.
Akron
Advantage Award Program
If you live in Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky,
Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia or West Virginia
then this scholarship is for you.
University
of Akron is offering qualified nonresident students from certain states a significant
adjustment in the tuition surcharge. If you are eligible for this program, you
can save 60% percent of your tuition fee.
For
qualifying this program student must meet the following criteria:
